Ruvna Instructions

As secondary students prepare to Return to Learn at FMS, this message is to introduce the Ruvna health screening tool to parents/guardians/families. FMS uses the Ruvna health screening tool as a safe and efficient way to ensure all students and staff have been screened for COVID-19 symptoms every day that students attend school. For example, Cohort A students will only receive and complete a Ruvna health screening alert on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and Cohort B students will only receive and complete a Ruvna health screening alert on Thursdays and Fridays.

It is important to note that the Ruvna health screening will be delivered to parents/guardians via text message or email, not an app. There is no app for parents /guardians to download. Parents/guardians will receive a text message and/or
email based on the contact information filed in PowerSchool for the first two parent contacts. If parents/guardians are not receiving a daily Ruvna text message or email, it is likely that contact information in PowerSchool is not current or entered incorrectly. Please contact your school secretary to ensure your PowerSchool information is correct.

FMS has created a tutorial in English and Spanish to walk through the health screening process. Please take the time to watch the short video. Ruvna provides a QR code and a recommendation to proceed to school or stay home from school. Do not send students to school who have been recommended to stay home -- parents/guardians will be called to pick up these students. The QR code is not needed for students to proceed to school at FMS. The QR code is provided for a function that is not used at FMS and can be disregarded.

Again, please take the time to review the tutorials and a family brochure from Ruvna in English and Spanish here. Should you have any questions, contact your school or reply to this email.

Lastly remember that 6th and 9th-grade At-School students will begin in-person learning on an A/B hybrid model on February 9. 7th, 8th, 10th, 11th, and 12th-grade At-School students will begin in-person learning on an A/B hybrid model on February 16. The graphic at this link shows what days Cohort A will attend in-person instruction and what days Cohort B will attend in-person instruction. Schools will announce cohorts very soon if they haven’t already. There is no change to elementary student schedules at this time. Remote, virtual At-Home Learning will continue as long as necessary.
