Students may also participate in performing arts programs through San Juan College, including band, orchestra, choir, theater, and fine arts, either after school or when their class schedule allows.
Learning is enhanced through opportunities to volunteer in the community, participate in career mentorships, and job shadow professionals.
Transportation and Meals
School bus transportation is provided for students who reside in the Aztec, Bloomfield, and Central Consolidated school districts through Farmington Municipal Schools Transportation. Pick-up and drop-off locations will be communicated by the transportation department.
Breakfast and lunch are available through FMS Student Nutrition. Students may also purchase meals from San Juan College’s Mary’s Kitchen.
Academic Expectations
SJCHS is open to qualified students who demonstrate a sincere interest in academics and a willingness to work hard to meet the program’s rigorous expectations.
Students must also be prepared to integrate into a college environment and take ownership of their educational experience.
Each student follows a personalized academic pathway designed to support their individual career and educational goals.
By graduation, students have the opportunity to complete up to 60 hours of transferable college coursework, which may be applied toward a bachelor’s degree or higher at a four-year college or university.
