McKinley Elementary School hosted yet another outstanding Career Day, inviting a range of professionals to share their experiences and knowledge with students. The presenters included a pilot, an actor, an EMT, a pro-athlete, an army recruiter, a zookeeper, and a realtor. See full list below.
During the event, students had the opportunity to select five of the 14 presenters available and spend the day listening to their presentations and asking questions about their professions. Ashten Mizell, the zookeeper, shared videos of her work with animals and combined stories about the special bonds that keepers form with the animals in their care.
Adam Morrisey, a pro-athlete, spoke to the students about his baseball career and offered inspiring insights into his personal philosophy. Army Recruiter Sgt. Justin Carter answered questions about his international travels, including the customs and cuisine he has experienced.
Career Day is an exciting event that can motivate students to explore diverse career paths and discover their passions. It also helps students appreciate the importance of education and the skills required to achieve success in various professions.
