We had a wonderful time celebrating our Native American seniors on May 4, 2023! Our schools - Rocinante High School, Piedra Vista High School, San Juan College High School, and Farmington High School - all came together for this special event. We were joined by Dr. Buu Nygren, the Navajo Nation President, who spoke to us about the importance of education.
We have some great photos from the celebration that we wanted to share with you. Our FMS Native American Youth Advisors did an amazing job organizing the event, with the help of the IEC Committee, Navajo Language teachers, FMS Multicultural staff, FMS Catering, and FHS JROTC. We're so grateful for all their hard work!
Closing Remarks: Ervin Trujillo, PVHS Assistant Principal, invited all the seniors to join him on stage.
