Hermosa Middle School celebrated its “Moving On” Ceremony on Monday, May 22, 2023, when families and staff gathered to recognize two hundred and twelve Matadors at a packed Farmington Civic Center.
A moving-on ceremony serves as a significant milestone for our students, providing a symbolic farewell to their elementary or middle school years and preparing them for the exciting adventures that lie ahead.
Emily Boognl (top left) and Grady Stone (bottom left) were selected as “Magnificent Matadors” by Hermosa Middle School, a distinction for students that stand out at the school. Congratulations, Emily and Grady! Top center, former assistant principal Mr. Kelly Erickson was the guest speaker for the event.
On Tuesday, May 2, 2023, it was Tibbetts’ and Height’s turn to give a nice send-off to their 8th-graders at the Farmington Civic Center and PV’s Turano Chrisman Performing Arts Theatre respectively.
Two hundred and fifty-three knights participated in the "Moving On" Ceremony for Heights Middle School. Top right, guest speakers at the event were the recent Piedra Vista salutatorian and valedictorian Khyler Burns and Addysen Boognl with advice centered on how to navigate high school.

Mesa View Middle School wrapped up the school year with a yearbook signing event on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. Students gathered on the front lawn to write special messages to one another and enjoy spending time with their friends before the summer break. Have a fantastic summer, Hawks!
On Wednesday, May 24, and Thursday, May, 25, moving-on ceremonies also took place in our elementary and middle schools. Mesa Verde Elementary’s Kindergarten Class danced their way to 1st Grade during a moving-on ceremony full of music and performances, and the young students had a great time.
