Farmington Municipal Schools is pleased to announce the consolidation of its Operations Department and the Athletics & Activities Department, effective this month, under the leadership of Mr. Isaac Gamboa. Mr. Gamboa will assume the role of Executive Director of Operations, Athletics & Activities.
Having been an integral member of our team since 2014, Mr. Gamboa initially served as a teacher and coach at Piedra Vista High School before advancing to the position of District Athletic Director in 2021.
The newly restructured Operations, Athletics, and Activities Department will encompass Plant Operations, Project/Construction, Student Nutrition Program, Transportation, as well as High School and Middle School Athletics. The Custodial and Grounds Offices will remain under the purview of Plant Operations, while oversight of middle school athletics will transition to our high school athletic directors.
These organizational adjustments are anticipated to enhance operational efficiency and generate significant cost savings, amounting to 100 thousand dollars for the district. Ongoing projects will proceed as planned.
