McCormick families enjoyed a wonderful and colorful Fiesta last week! It was a special event, but also bittersweet as we said goodbye to Principal Lyn White, who is retiring at the end of this school year. Ms. White has been the heart of McCormick since 2,000 and has created an incredible community here.
Our Dual Language Classes performed lively dances to songs like “La Chona” by Los Tucanes de Tijuana, “Baila, Baila, Baila,” “Vivir Mi Vida” by Marc Anthony, “Dreamers,” and “La Macarena.”
Our 2nd-graders honored Ms. White with a touching dance to “I Want to Say Thank You” and presented her with beautiful roses. The McCormick staff then performed a fun dance to Abba’s “Dancing Queen.”
But as always, it was our kindergarteners who stole the show! Dressed in their finest, they charmed everyone with their dance to “La Boda del Huitlacoche” by Carin León, a delightful song about a wedding attended by different types of birds.
Great job, Celtics!
