We had an exciting event today, as Mesa View Middle School educators and Central Office administrators rolled out the red carpet for our newest students in the Houses of Amistad, Isibindi, Rêveur, and Sollevare!
The day kicked off with a lively assembly in a school bursting with color—red, yellow, green, and blue flags, balloons, and t-shirts adorned the school’s gym. The energy was contagious as students discovered which house they would join.
Each house has its own unique story and strengths, and throughout the year, students will bond, build lasting friendships, and grow into strong leaders, guided by our educators and supported by their peers.
Most of our school community joined one of these vibrant houses at the end of last year, and now more than 160 new students had the thrill of spinning the wheel to find out their house! The anticipation was electric as they watched the wheel turn, waiting to see which house they would be welcomed in.
Before heading to class, students also participated in a fun series of games, competing for the honor of earning the first points of the year and having their house flag proudly displayed in the commons.
As we kick off the first full week of school on Monday, we wish all our students a fantastic year ahead. We can't wait to see how Mesa View continues to grow its school culture, centered around positivity, pride, and a strong sense of community. Go, Hawks!
The Ron Clark Academy, a renowned middle school in Atlanta, serves as inspiration for this initiative, celebrated for its devoted and dynamic learning environment.
