We’re pleased to introduce our new Armed Campus Safety Monitors (ACSMs), who were officially sworn in today by Farmington Police Chief Steve Hebbe.
Mr. Martin Snowbarger will be joining the Heights Middle School team, and Mr. Kameron Dole will serve at Farmington High School. Mr. Snowbarger is a retired officer from the Farmington Police Department, and Mr. Dole brings 15 years of experience as a School Resource Officer with the Grand Junction Police Department in Colorado.
In January 2024, the FMS Board of Education approved a measure allowing specially trained security personnel to carry firearms on campus. This decision led to the creation of the ACSM role—experienced, former law enforcement officers dedicated to ensuring a safe learning environment and providing an added layer of protection during emergencies.
