FMS Families and Staff,
We want to share four leadership updates happening in our district. Four dedicated members of our staff will be stepping into new roles, and we’re confident they’ll continue to help our schools and district thrive.
McKinley Elementary: Ms. Melissa Vigil, currently the Assistant Principal at McKinley, will become the new Principal starting next school year. She is taking over for Principal Becky Ferris, who will be retiring. Ms. Vigil has been with FMS since 2006 and also brings valuable experience from her time at Hermosa and Esperanza.
Human Resources: Mr. Nathan Pierantoni will be stepping in as the new Executive Director of Human Resources, following Mr. Chris Pash’s retirement. Mr. Pierantoni joined FMS in 2005 and has served in several roles, including science and gifted teacher at Heights, Assistant Principal at Farmington High, Principal at Heights, and most recently, Support Services Director.
Support Services: Dr. Chris Jones will take on the role of Director of Support Services. Dr. Jones has been part of the FMS family since 2013 and has served as Principal of Heights Middle School since 2019.
Heights Middle School: Mr. Kevin Beckner will be the new Principal at Heights Middle School. Mr. Beckner has been with the district since 2011 and has been the Assistant Principal at Mesa View Middle School since 2021.
We’re grateful for the years of service from our retiring leaders and excited for what’s ahead with these new appointments. Thank you for your continued support.
