“Sitcom” was tonight’s winning word at the FMS Spelling Bee, which took 15 rounds to be decided. “Upon,” “Clutch,” “Polish,” and “Alas,” were some of the words our logophiles had to spell successfully during the event held at Piedra Vista’s Turano-Chrisman Performing Arts Theater.
Gregory Kiszka-Armstrong of Ladera del Norte Elementary won the FMS Spelling Bee. Charisma Bautista of Heights Middle School and Sara Myerson of Northeast Elementary won 2nd and 3rd place, respectively.
Congratulations to our students for their hard work. Special kudos to Ms. Debra Mayeaux, pronouncer and emcee, judges Ms. Donna Schenk, Mr. David Mayeaux, Ms. Michelle Thur, and Ms. Carrie Inskeep, student assistant.
