February marks the start of Black History Month, a federally recognized celebration of the contributions African Americans have made to this country. On February 8, our Student Nutrition Department will give elementary students coloring sheets, and middle and high school students trivia sheets they can turn in to receive special treats. Many institutions, including the ASAALH and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture, offer digital programming for those celebrating at home. You can view more information here.
Please share this calendar and remember to also celebrate with us on National Pizza Day (February 9) and wearing your favorite NFL Team gear (February 11).
