Please note: New Student Enrollment is for students who are not currently enrolled in a Farmington Municipal Schools. Only a parent with legal custody or a person, who serves as a formal guardian, with a Power of Attorney for educational and medical purposes, may enroll a child in Farmington Municipal Schools.
- Farmington Preschool Academy East students must be at least 3 years of age upon entering preschool. See information below.
- Pre-Kindergarten students must be at least 4 years of age prior to 12:01 a.m. on September 1st of the year of enrollment. See information below.
- Kindergarten Students must be 5 years of age prior to 12:01 a.m. on September 1st of the year of enrollment.
- First Grade students must be 6 years of age prior to 12:01 a.m. on September 1st of the year of enrollment.
- School Age Person is defined as students ages 5-21 years old.

You will need:
- Proof of child’s date of birth
- Birth certificate (state certified – no copies accepted), or
- Passport/Visa, or
- Other legal/notarized identification
- Proof of Immunizations
- Proof of parent/guardian identity
- Driver’s license, or
- Passport/Visa, or
- Motor Vehicle Administration identification card, or
- Other legal documents used for identification
- Proof of parent/guardian relationship or custody
- Birth certificate which identifies the parents, or
- Court order, or
- Separation or divorce decree, or
- Other legal documents
- Current immunization record required
- Transfer documents if applicable
- Proof of residency to determine child’s school attendance zone. Proof of residency can include:
- Homeowner –
- Current property tax bill, or
- Current utility bill (e.g. electric, water, gas, sanitation), or
- Purchase agreement or
- Construction contract
- Renter -
- Current rental lease; if lease is over 1 year old, copy of lease and a current utility bill.
- Shared Housing –
- Copy of current property tax bill of homeowner with whom student and parent are living, or
- Copy of rental lease (if lease is over 1 year old, copy of lease and current utility bill) of renter with whom student and parent are living; and at least two supporting documents.
