All four kindergarten classes at Apache Elementary School got a special visit on October 26, 2022, from local beekeeper Anna McMullen, who made a presentation to our students about honeybees and their wonderful world. The presentation is tied to the current CKLA unit at the school, where our young students are learning from “Polly the Honeybee's Flower Tour.”
Amplify Core Knowledge Language Arts or Amplify CKLA provides rich, engaging content for students as they build their knowledge in a subject area, and continue to learn to read and write. Today, students learned about pollen, nectar, bees, and honey.
