We're excited to share that we've been offering yummy fruits and veggies in their natural state for our students and teachers to enjoy at Animas ES, Apache ES, Bluffview ES, Esperanza ES, McCormick ES, McKinley ES, and Northeast ES. Twice a week, these nutritious snacks are available in the mornings or afternoons through USDA’s Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP). The FFVP is a fun and effective way to introduce fresh fruits and veggies as healthy snack choices. This program encourages schools to team up locally and statewide to make it happen. It's a big help in fighting childhood obesity by teaching kids about healthier eating habits. We're thrilled to be part of this positive change!

June 5, 2023: The Summer Brain Camp is well underway at FMS. Over the next six weeks, Animas Elementary will be hosting nearly 400 students from Kindergarten to 5th grade. Additionally, there's a separate program called C-Camp for 6th to 8th graders. This camp will take place at the Boys and Girls Club of Farmington throughout the entire summer, with around 50 participants. More to come.
