FMS families, we have some big news! Farmington Municipal Schools, in partnership with the Ripken Foundation and community partners like Flogistics and New Mexico State University, is bringing STEM Labs to our elementary schools. Bluffview, Esperanza, and McCormick will be the first of 10 schools to introduce these hands-on learning spaces!
What does this mean for your child?
Each school will have its own STEM Lab designed right on campus.
These labs will be filled with engaging tools, resources, and activities, like coding, circuitry, and design projects, to inspire curiosity and creativity.
We’re incredibly grateful to our community partners for helping us bring innovative, global opportunities to our students. Stay tuned for more updates as we roll out this exciting program!
STEM Labs are specially designed spaces where students can explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through fun, hands-on activities. These labs help prepare children for the future by fostering creativity, problem-solving skills, and a love for learning in an engaging and advanced educational environment.
In the photos, you can see our educators being trained to use these resources during classroom lessons and out-of-school time programs.
