Hello Hermosa Families,
Hermosa Middle School, in conjunction with Farmington Municipal Schools Native American Programs, is pleased to announce a Cultural Presentation on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 3:30-5:30 pm.
Lyla June is an Indigenous public speaker, musician and internationally recognized performance poet. Ms. June is Diné, Tsétsêhéstâhese (Cheyenne) and of European lineage from Taos, New Mexico. Ms. June will bring her guitar and sing some songs. She does hip-hop and also poetry, and a blend of traditional instruments (like deer hide drum) and rapping. She will share her personal story of believing in herself to overcome struggles in life.

Students who attend will be provided snacks and dinner. Space is limited to 20 Hermosa students. A parent permission form and a media release form are attached. The due date is Wednesday, October 27, 2022.
