FMS families, July 31 is the final day of our Seamless Summer Feeding Program, and we have something special for you! Come by Central Kitchen (305 N. Court Ave.) between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. to pick up free five-day meal kits for your kids, including both breakfast and lunch. These kits are available for all children 18 and under, so make sure to stop by while supplies last. See you there!
FMS, the first day of school is right around the corner! Kindergarten, 6th, and 9th graders will start classes on August 7. All other grades will begin school on August 8. FMS In The News: SUN Bucks program provides food assistance to children in New Mexico. By Jacqlin Aragon, KOB. The New Mexico Education Department is making sure any student who needs help getting meals this summer aren’t left with no place to go. Eligible students can now apply for “SUN Bucks” with the launch of the USDA’s new summer nutrition SUN Programs. “We just really want to keep our kids nutritionally sound during the summer months while school is out. And when they come back in August, they’re ready to go,” said Marie Johnson, a student nutrition coordinator for FMS.
