Happy Veterans Day! Today, we honor America’s veterans, recognizing their patriotism, love of country, and dedication to serving and sacrificing for the common good.
Here are some moments from Country Club Elementary’s vibrant celebration on Friday, November 8, at SJC’s Henderson Arts Center. Our 4th and 5th graders, along with the school staff, put together a truly heartfelt program to honor veterans.
A special thanks to the Piedra Vista JROTC Color Guard, Emerie Davis for her beautiful violin solo of “America the Beautiful,” and the entire group of talented students for their performances of “Thankful for the USA” and “A Grateful Nation.”
At Mesa Verde Elementary, students proudly performed “Fifty Nifty United States,” celebrating our nation’s states and paying tribute to veterans.
At Bluffview Elementary, students sang “For The Good of the Many,” “American Every Day,” and the inspiring “One Nation.”
A huge thank you to our dedicated music teachers, staff, students, and especially our families and volunteers for making these ceremonies so special!
Farmington Municipal Schools held eight special ceremonies to honor veterans present and across the nation, and recognized them during our sports events as well.
