Remember that you are one of the brightest parts of our students' day. This morning, Isaac Gamboa, Executive Director of Operations, Athletics & Activities, shared this heartfelt message during our Student Nutrition Welcome Back Celebration.
Whether at our schools or Central Kitchen, Student Nutrition plays a crucial role by ensuring that FMS students receive nutritious, delicious, and well-balanced meals that fuel their learning and growth. Additionally, our staff also plays a vital role in teaching students about healthy eating habits, food safety, and composting.
At the event, we introduced the managers from each school in our district and highlighted the exciting expansion of our Food Corps program. Last year, we had four members, and now every elementary school will benefit from their presence. Throughout the day, our staff reviewed the best practices and policies that our district follows.
Today's celebration also featured inspiring messages from Superintendent Cody Diehl, Student Nutrition Coordinator Marie Johnson, McKinney Vento Liaison Paul Pavlik, and K12 by Elior District Manager Paula Szczepanek.
We wish all our Student Nutrition staff the best as they embark on yet another exciting year!
