Dear FMS Parents and Guardians,
We have updated our procedures regarding the laptops and accessories provided to students for the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year. These changes are part of our ongoing efforts to support our students, reduce financial pressures on families, and keep our devices in great shape.
No More Laptop Fees!
Good news! This year, there will be no fees for using the laptops. This should help reduce some of the financial stress of school supplies and other fees.
Protective Cases for All Laptops
To help prevent damage to our devices, every laptop will come with a protective plastic case. As long as the laptop stays in its case, you won’t be charged for accidental physical damage.
A Few Important Things to Remember:
Spill Damage and Chargers: If a laptop gets damaged by spills or if a charger is lost or damaged, we will need to charge for the repairs or replacement. New chargers will only be provided after the cost of the lost one is covered.
Repair Limits: If a laptop needs more than two repairs during the school year, we will ask that it stays at school for the rest of the year (not be taken home).
We appreciate your help in making sure the laptops and accessories are well taken care of. Together, we can ensure that all students have the tools they need for a successful school year.
