San Juan College High School’s Native American Club made more than 300 servings of frybread on November 30. The delicious food was shared with the students and staff at Northeast Elementary, closing out Native American Heritage Month at the school. It was an absolute hit!
Northeast administrators got the ball rolling during a Parent-Teacher Organization meeting last month and they reached out to SJCHS’ Native American Club, an active group that has two former Vikings as members.
Our thanks to SJCHS’ Native American Club, the Northeast Elementary faculty, staff, and PTO for celebrating Native American culture and providing exciting learning opportunities for students. Huge thanks also to the FMS Multicultural Department for providing the ingredients for the delicious frybread.
Are you a Northeast Elementary parent? Have more ideas to enhance classroom experiences for students? Reach out to the Northeast PTO, their next meeting will be held in the NE Library on Wednesday, December 7, at 3:00 p.m.
