Bilingual Programs
FMS Bilingual Multicultural Education Program provides support and resources for all students to become bilingual and bi-literate in English and a second language following rules and regulations as per the New Mexico State Bilingual Multicultural Education Act Chapter 22, Article 23 NMSA.
FMS offers BME services in Spanish and Navajo languages while emphasizing the history and cultures associated with the students home or heritage language. The district bilingual teachers are specialized in elementary or secondary education and have received specialized training in bilingual education, holding a Bilingual endorsement.
